Lens Caps
Designed to do what a lens cap should do. Protect Lenses, block negligent discharges of white and IR light, and not cost $25-$50. You should be buying ammo to train with, not expensive pieces of “one of three size fits most” for the cost of an inner city range fee.
Made of a light, chemical resistant, and durable Thermoplastic right here in the US of A baby! These are 3D Printed components, and much like everything else I sell that is printed, I use premium filaments for the best product quality I can muster. No complaints.
The front of each cap is textured to dissipate light effectively, but doesn’t have any fancy designs that you will a) never look at or b) never feel with gloves on. Shock Cord and a Rubber Band provide the retention and also come in a variety of colors. The pocket of the cap is 4mm deep to ensure that oddly shaped edges don’t bleed light and helps keep more carbon fouling, dust, or other unwanted refuse off of your lenses.
The best part about how these are made: The number of sizes. Instead of relying on relative terms like Small. Medium, and Large, which mean about as much in measuring a circle as measuring distance with Fahrenheit. Using community as well as some handy answers provided by trustworthy sources (they came to me in a dream), we have been able to match up listed lights, optics, and other shiny circular objects so you can choose between a “snug” fitting cap, or a “Loose” fitting cap. Okay, okay, now Iam being relative, but this is essentially calculated as:
Snug: Cap Size - Crown Diameter < 1mm
Loose: Cap Size = “Snug” + 1mm or Cap Size = Cap Size - Crown Diameter +1mm
